This week, I finally found this set of binoculars. I've had them for years now, and originally they were used for terrestrial viewing. Never before had I thought to just look up with them. At least not until I got my first telescope, that is. Now I'm waiting for a clear sky to try them out. They're only 10x25's, so they're not really big, but they are waterproof, and very nice. The binoculars are of excellent construction of metal and rubber. No gimmicky plastic here. They are surprisingly hefty, and I wouldn't doubt they would survive a decent fall (they probably already have). I figured they would make a nice "grab 'n go"!
Look for a first light report as soon as the weather finally clears!
