Time Slowing Down?

As I was putzing around on StumbleUpon tonight, I came across an article about an alternative to dark energy and dark matter. The article posits that the acceleration of universal expansion could be explained if time itself were slowing down! Current models cite the presence of dark energy as such a driving force. Nearly all modern physical models assume that time always marches on at the same rate. What if it doesn't? Of course the slowing down would not be noticeable on human scales, but on cosmological scales, it could become significant. Read the article here>>
